It may come as a TOTAL shock and surprise that I actually have an older brother and no sisters.
If you're new here, my sweet mama Bev struggled with fertility and 3 years after I was born was taken home to be with the Lord.
At a young age, I knew that I was made for more and made for community. I desired close friendships, sisterhood and community with other women. Maybe because I didn't have it at home or maybe because God just put this sweet ministry opportunity in my heart and mind early on, I've always sought out true friendships.
What I've learned from working with and being around women for the last 10+ years is that ALL women desire community on some level. We all have different reasons we don't pursue them or we are afraid to go all out with our friendships, but at our core, we desire to pull up a seat at the table with women like us!

What do you feel is holding you back from pursuing true friendship?

If there was ONE thing that you bring to the table in your friendships, what do you feel like it is?
No one is perfect and some people are only meant to be in our lives for a season. Then there are people like my good friend Megan Sluder pictured below, who God has seen fit to interweave into my life, ministry and family! She is the sister I prayed for and the co-founder of my ministry Sisterhood Story.
If you feel like you're missing your circle of women, your gal pals or tribe- ask, seek, knock. Pray that the Lord would open doors and pull chairs up to the table of friendship for you! Keep your eyes open and your heart expectant!
